Why Don't You.. Think Of Your Body As A Car? ♥
November 10, 2009

.. and fuel it accordingly?

We all know that good nutrition is vital, but in a sea of non-fat, low-fat and full-fat foods, it can be difficult to know which is the best possible decision to make when it comes to healthy eating choices. So instead of deliberating over countless food labels, examining multiple packages and debating whether or not the fat content of a handful of almonds make them a worthy snack (despite their numerous health benefits!), why not ask yourself THIS before selecting a meal: how nutritionally beneficial is this for me? Adopt this as your meal-time mantra! Drink water because it hydrates, envigorates and makes your skin glow - not because you feel it's an unnecessary obligation! If you crave chocolate, don't deprive yourself - but seek to find the most luxurious, anti-oxidant rich variety available - and enjoy every mouthful! Think of food as fuel for your body: fuel for muscles, tissue growth and cell repair. Know that taking the time to develop a positive attitude towards nutrition and exercise will not only improve your total wellbeing, productivity and happiness, but that it will leave you with more energy to cope with a busy lifestyle, too.

But by far the best part of exercising and maintaining a nutritious diet? It will make you feel good. Really, really good. Are you with me?
