Happy Friday, and HAPPY EASTER!
Here are some of the things which are filling me with glee at the moment..
x Easter Festivities - Endless chocolate! Four-day weekends! A legimiate excuse to wander around 24/7 wearing a pair of rabbit ears! (Because as I've been told before, they're perhaps not ALWAYS the most appropriate wardrobe option. Pft!) If there's a more enjoyable public holiday, I'm yet to meet it..
x New Zealand - Okay, so it's possibly been the world's most difficult trip to co-ordinate EVER (and sheesh, who would've thought?!), but I think I can be a wee bit forgiving because hello, I am arriving in Auckland tomorrow! I'm so, so excited. My plans from there? Exploring the city's finest (and at some stage during the night, probably the worst, too!) watering holes on Saturday with my sister and her friends, combing the streets in the search of the most interesting little boutiques and second-hand stores (if you know of any that I absolutely must, MUST visit, please let me know in the comments section below!), and spending time with my family!
x Flying Emirates - I have heard MANY outstanding things about the service on board Emirates Airlines and tomorrow, I get to put those claims to the test! The strangest thing is that when I was shopping around for airfares a couple of weeks ago, believe it or not, theirs was actually the most cost efficient option over the Easter period! I wasn't sure if the prices I was viewing were the result of a gigantic fluke or if my eyes were just deceiving me, but I very quickly booked it anyway and have been anticipating it ever since. Fingers crossed that they're excellent!
x Packing - I know. It's actually quite embarrassing. (You can keep a secret, right?!) But I love it! I'm not sure if it's because I'm a Virgo or just an absolute nerd, but I find the whole process so ridiculously gratifying: planning which outfits to wear, ruminating over where they'll be worn, and deciding exactly what I need is almost as enjoyable as the actual adventure itself to me!
x Other Little Things - Sleeping all day; grey skies; electric blue nail polish; boyfriends who cook you meals consisting of Vegetarian schitznels and roast vegetables and tell you jokes so criminally awful at the same time that you can't help but laugh; using my new blender (I made a smoothie this morning out of coconut milk, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and chocolate powder, and I swear, it made me that much happier about being awake at such an ungodly hour!); hugs and kisses when you're feeling less-than-astounding; hatching new projects; the lovely, LOVELY people who have joined the Frock & Roll group on Facebook (thank-you enormously!) and the magnificent people who stop by here in general (thank-you also enormously!); cupcake-printed pajamas; the smell of salt water; being able to wear layers again (cooler weather, I love you!); realising that all of your Ebay pieces have sold overnight (bliss!); waking up and being pulled in for a giant embrace; running around the apartment like a lunatic; and listening to A Perfect Circle while the rain pours down..
