It surely is!

What are you celebrating this week?

What's filling YOU with thrills? What's making you wake up a little earlier each morning with a stupendous grin on your face? What's for dinner?! (Actually, maybe that last part isn't quite so relevant.) Wrap all of the week's most splendid events into a list and go!

Here are a few of my favourite things:

x Week One Of My HTML & Coding Course - Ah, HTML. It's the magic little language that makes websites tick and before my first lesson in it on Monday, my knowledge of all things coding was precisely the same as my knowledge of Swahili: non-existent! It's something that I've wanted to learn properly for YEARS (no exaggeration!), so actually sitting down and learning its wonderful ways is immensely interesting! Successfully scripting it is kind of like completing an elaborate jigsaw puzzle (difficult), but realizing that I've pieced it together correctly is ridiculously satisfying (excellent).

x Progress - So, I commenced my new job on Tuesday and oh my, it's been quite a ride! I've dived headfirst into a world of web design, copywriting, tech speak and Marketing, and after floundering about in a sea of new-person nerves and foreign territory, I'm happy to say that now, I'm finally feeling as though I'm beginning to swim! It's a nice wee feeling, that old one of progress: you know, that moment where your eyes are tempted to fly open, you sit up marginally straighter and realise that hey, you've learned a trick or two and maybe you knew a tiny bit more than you thought you did/have come slightly further than you thought you had? Exciting!

x Sartorial Serendipity - It occasionally feels like there's a fairy godmother of fashion (but oh, whatever you do, DON'T get me started on her evil sister, The Wicked Witch Of Shopping: you know, the one who magically and cruelly decides that there's no endless options of clothing to choose from when you do want to spend your cashola on something great, but when you don't, seemingly waves 100,000 incredible options in front of you?! Yeah. That's her! EVIL!): one minute you're frantically searching online for a particular piece of clothing, and then ka-ching! BARGAIN! You've stumbled across it the very next day in a second-hand store, and for $6! (The fact that it was marked as $20 on the actual tag is another bonus in itself.)

x Other Little Things - Sequins, sequins, sequins; Courtney Taylor of The Dandy Warhols (oh, he is so stupidly DREAMY!); sweet girls who let me bring my puppy inside the post office; large bowls of takeaway Pad Thai; air-conditioned offices; the sound of the L90 bus whirling by; ultra-clever web warriors who come to your rescue during times of need (Mother, and Julie, I'm looking at - and thanking - both of you!); my boyfriend's new hair; COG (such an incredible Australian band, I love them!); honest conversation; looking through piles of pictures of heavenly bathrooms (swoon, swoon); waking up to the smell of pancakes being cooked; discovering scrumptious new eateries; and Valentine's Day anticipation (Mexican restaurant + after-dinner ice-cream + a walk on the beach = perfecto)!
