Happy Friday! Gosh, what a whirlwind week it's been! This weekend, I'm looking forward to nothing more than some quality slumber time.. mmm! In the meantime, here are some of the things that I'm swooning over..

x Work Experience At Sassi Sam! - It's been so inspiring to intern this week with someone such as Sam Winter, who has not only managed to create a truly successful home business, but who is so 100% gracious, nurturing and hardworking, too! In the eyes of many, work placements are often synonymous with''I'll have a grand mocha, thanks'', but Sam has gone out of her way to provide me with such an enriching experience, and I am ENORMOUSLY grateful. I can't wait until week two!

x Exploring New Locations - When you've lived in the same city for a while, it can be so easy to fall into a geographical rut and forget about all of the other exciting hidden treasures that your city houses.. which is why it's been so much fun lately to venture into new territory! This week, I've visited Sydney's Coogee Beach, Potts Point and Rose Bay for the first time, and it was a really important reminder to remember the thrill of the unknown, and to schedule in time for more adventures!

x Mia Freedman's Mama Mia: A Memoir Of Mistakes, Magazines And Motherhood - The enjoyment/excellence factor of a book is usually in direct proportion to your levels of consumption, and after purchasing Mia's latest literary offering, I literally couldn't put it down!(Possibly very frustrating for anyone trying to have a conversation with me.) Beginning her media career doing work experience at Cleo magazine aged 19, Mia quickly began to climb the career ladder with her unique, often hilarious and talented writing style, and within five years, was named the youngest ever (globally!) editor of CosmopolitanMama Mia: A Memoir Of Mistakes, Magazines And Motherhood chronicles Mia's journey of when things unexpectedly fell apart, and within a few pages, I was HOOKED. I eagerly devoured it within six hours, and would recommend it to anyone!

x Other Little Things - Conversations about blogging; my mother's homemade fruit crumbles(and her strength and kindness in general); feeling mildly starstruck upon sitting oppositeCosmopolitan's Leigh Campbell, Cleo's Rachel Mannell and Primped's Yasemin Turker at the All About Glo launch (although, what would have been more impressive is if I had actually plucked up the courage to say hello and tell them how much I adore their work - but in my defense, they were heavily engrossed in conversation!); wire less broadband internet; opportunities; people who go out of their way to be super helpful and ultra lovely; positive energy; and Sportsgirl!

Your turn!

xoxo
