The week's finest moments.. in list form!
x Scoring Work Experience At Sassi Sam! - As part of my current Media & Communications course study, we must complete work experience in a related industry during October, and I am SO thrilled to have been accepted by the lovely Sam Winter, of Sassi Sam fame! As part of my placement, I'll be assisting with press release writing and creating website content, and it's a fantastic opportunity to not only work with somebody who is both talented AND passionate, but to adopt a host of interesting new skills, too!
x Organising An Aura-Soma Consultation - If you've never heard of an Aura-Soma consultation before, you're in good company, because before yesterday, I was an Aura-Soma newcomer, TOO! But after reading about Gala Darling's encounter with Joycelle (excerpt: ''I had an Aura-Soma consultation with Joycelle on my birthday & it was mind-blowing. As well as giving me lots of insight as to where I was & where I needed to get to, she told me a lot about colour & how we can use it for transformation. She told me to incorporate more blue & turquoise into my life, & since then I have been wearing blue almost every day, & this might sound kooky, but I have been feeling better than I have in a long time! I can't really explain it but I feel more productive & lucid, which is a great thing!''), I was instantly intrigued and quickly booked a session with her. The power of colour fascinates me, and anything that's believed to positively impact on your life can only be worth exploring, right? It's expected to be delivered in the format of a full report over the next 24 hours, and not only am I eagerly anticipating her findings, but also, sharing my thoughts with you!

x The Almighty Sydney Dust Storm - Was it Armageddon? The Apocalypse? A warning-laden signal from the universe that the end was nigh? No, it was merely a bizarre dust storm, said to have originated from Australia's current unseasonally hot temperatures! It occurred on Wednesday, and was one of the strangest, yet most amazing, incidents that I have ever witnessed: the entire city of Sydney was smothered in a thick cloak of red dust, and it was an example of wild weather (and global warming?!) at its most extreme. Flights were cancelled, health warnings were issued and you literally couldn't see a thing for almost eight hours. As a result (even a couple of days later!), my ENTIRE house and its contents are covered in dust, but it was truly fascinating to watch!
x Other Little Things - Cookies; cleaning sprees (yes, really!); long, quality conversations; making Ambrosia; plaits; realisations; planning dinners with two of my favourite girls; marvelling at the amount of individual, thought-provoking and wonderful people that exist on Twitter and in the blogosphere, and wishing that there was a huge party that we could all frolick at and meet one another! (This thought appears regularly, but this week, more so!); silver fingernails; The Cranberries' Dreams; and learning!

And you?
