BLOG
Happy Friday Saturday! (Oops! My apologies for the tardiness! Where did Friday disappear to?!) Presenting, my favourite things from the week that was! (And a couple of new additions to It's Friday too, ooh la la!) x Phenomenal Generosity - Holy HECK! So, there's this guy that I know, and not only does he score approximately 3,2545 awesome points for remembering (from months ago!) that a) I didn't have a printer, but for b) calling me last week to say that he had won a $450 printer/scanner/photocopier, and um, would I like it?! and c) then delivering it to my workplace by hand, having to catch two buses to do so, half an hour later! Oh, my. Even though I plan on buying him several hundred beers and saying''thank-you!'' even more, somehow, it still just doesn't seem sufficient! x Dinner At Lucky & Pep's Pizzeria - Because there is nothing finer than a superb slice (or three! Or was it four?!) of pizza and believe me when I say that this is truly superb pizza! x Max Brenner's Chocolate Cafes` - Have you ever visited an all-chocolate cafe` before?! I've been meaning to out of curiosity for what feels like FOREVER, so in continuing the tradition of Wednesday faux-date nights, three excellent ladies and I went there for dessert and had their insanely delicious chocolate peanut shake and seriously, it was so delectable that it should be
illegal!
x Other Little Things - Skype conversations with my mother (and pressing my nostrils against the webcam/pulling hideous faces to amuse/annoy her!); laughter-filled car rides; lavender oil; vanilla-flavoured herbal sleeping tea; wearing stealing my boyfriend's bathrobe; lucky $2 coins; being interviewed by the very sweet Aimee Marie; the positive responses to the upcoming Style Challenges (I have so many planned!); wearing Emporio Armani's Diamonds perfume and instantly being transported back to Europe (and the mischief that accompanied it!); reading interior design magazines cross-legged on the floor; and wearing my hot pink Doc Martens everywhere to shield my toes from the rain!
x I Can't Stop Listening To - Beyonce`! The Beastie Boys! Chris Cornell! Tom Jones! (Uh, - sadly?! - that's not actually a joke!) Timbaland! Terrible remixes of horror-movie theme songs! x A Lesson Learned - We are ALWAYS capable of doing the things that we think we're not! Truly! Firstly, I, Miss Disastrous-At-Cooking-2010 (and every other year running!), managed to bake an entire vegetarian cannelloni from scratch, without the assistance of several fire trucks, and secondly, I was able to set up the new aforementioned printer that I received and hey, this is coming from the person who had to google off a nearby computer how to open their MacBook when they first bought it! (And that was only six months ago, YIKES!)
x Engage in the age old art of conversation with your significant other. Honestly, when was the last time that you actually spoke to the person that you love with absolutely zero distractions? Turn off the television. Switch off the music. Make eye contact. COMMUNICATE!
x Create your own headband of FUN! Every now and then I'm guilty of buying something that's cheap, seemingly cute and that I completely, utterly don't need. Headbands fall under that category nicely! By sticking something on them that's equal parts ridiculous and magnificent (a miniature plastic animal figurine? A spinning bow-tie? A packet of holographic stars?!) with super glue, however, it's easy to make them considerably more wearable! (And enjoyable!) My personal choice? A butterfly ornament that was my boyfriend's mother's and has been glued to our wall for years. I adore it!

How was YOUR week? Have a wonderful weekend!
xoxo

Julie - Your list is fantastic! Congratulations on graduating!
Amy - Ooh, exciting! And I *love* the concept of pen pals but am hopeless and always end up slacking off with my letter writing! (Actually, it's not so much the letter writing as in the letter SENDING!), but I'm still willing to try if you're interested! :)
Alex - Oh, thanks Axe-y! How sweet! Thank-you, thank-you!
Sarah Hannah - I know! Is it wrong that I'm sort of trying to plan next week's outings around the acquisition of Max Brenner?!
