Janis Joplin, you wickedly stylish woman, you!
There are so many reasons why I find you so spectacularly enchanting.
Firstly, there's those wrists lined with bangles. (Ni-ce!) The voluminous shapes frequently involved
in your attire. (Interesting!) And of course, there's Me & Bobby McGee and Piece Of My Heart. (Love!)
But more importantly?
Your preference for enormous hats and reclining on cars!
No. (Although you were certainly partial to both.)
It's that bewitchingly adorable SMILE!
You seemed so utterly, blissfully carefree. STRONG. The kind of girl who laughed ferociously and lived passionately, and didn't give a bell-bottomed pant or strung bead about what anyone thought! (Excellent qualities to harness, I say!)
Now, you probably partied a teensy bit too much and preferred the taste of Southern Comfort to water, but oh, would you have had many a brilliant tale to tell!

Oh, how do I love Janis Joplin. Many times have I wished that I could dress like her.
It always baffled me when my friends didn't like her. The girl was a force.

You know, I've been meaning to do this for MONTHS - and then whenever I remembered to do it I'd think ''rockstars with style - I posted about that MONTHS ago, would anyone still care about that now?!'' I mean, obviously it's enormously fascinating to silly old music-obsessed me :D , but I didn't want to keep beating the same drum, you know?! ANYHOO. YUS! So glad you remembered to do this. I LOVE Janis. I grew up listening to her music - my Mum was obsessed with her, so she went to Kathmandu and New Orleans and Baton Rouge because Janis sang about those places haha. I think there's a Janis Joplin biopic in the works, too! Should be interesting!
