Style Challenge: Could You Wear Head-To-Toe... TIN FOIL?! ♥

Oh, I jest! (Honestly, really and truly now, you didn't ACTUALLY expect to spot me leaping about the place in tin foil, did you?! Ha! You joker, you!)

No, no, nooo, today I thought I'd catapult myself into unchartered clothing territory (as is the purpose of our style challenges!) and hurl on a hue that I never, ever wear...

RED!

SDC13451

And are you red-dy (oh, I slay myself with my lameness!) for a strange sartorial confession? I've always resisted shades of crimson. They're just so... bold! There's something so attention-wielding about donning such a bright colour that has me constantly scrambling for more neutral tones. (Sure, I'm by no means a shy girl, but I'm very, very definitely not a ''look at me, look at me!'' kind of gal, either!)

(Am I the only fool who loves out-of-focus photographs?! Probably. But I DO!)

SDC13416

I'm still not convinced that I suit being a lady in red (ugh, does anyone else loathe that song?!), but I DID receive one of the cutest of compliments while wearing it:

''Your dress really suits you,'' an Indian boy told me. ''Like a rose which just on gloom...''

(I think he meant ''in bloom'', but hey, who could have the heart to correct him after a poetic attempt like that?!)

What's YOUR least favourite colour to drape yourself in? Would you ever slink into it in the pursuit of moseying outside your comfort zone? (And have you ever known someone to wear head-to-toe tin foil?! Because if so, I've got to hear about this!)

xoxo

I wear lots of color, my closet is especially full of yellow, red and blue clothing. What I don't wear - ever - is black. It's just so utterly boring. I don't wear a lot of gray or brown either. Oh, and one color that really doesn't suit me at all: turquoise.

OMG!!! I was totally psyched to see what your foil outfit looked like!!!

That was such a nice compliment! I think the red looks wonderful on you!

I'd have to say that my least favorite color to wear is probably yellow, although many people say it suits me. Still not crazy about wearing the color, though.

Me? I don't wear white. Not slimming AT ALL and makes me teeth look yellow-er!

but you? You should definitely wear red - it honestly suits you :)

Red is definitely your color, don't shy away from it!

Sam - Thanks Sam!

J. - You're DEFINITELY not alone! Your dress sounds gorgeous, too - maybe try completing a red style challenge of your own? :) I'd love to see the results!

Samantha - Thanks a bunch, Samantha!

Ani - Now that everybody's revealing which colours they supposedly look awful in, I'm desperate to see them in them! (Because I think white would compliment your hair perfectly!)

Miss Peregrin - Hahahaha, YES! We should! (But damn, that stuff's expensive!) And I'm stumped. I think you'd look outstanding in orange or yellow!

Rachael - Blue IS a bit of a difficult colour to pull off, isn't it? I'm all for navy frocks, but I look TERRIBLE in blue eyeshadow, so I completely know what you mean...

Rosie - Awww, thanks Rosie! It does, and actually, I do love that about it, too... I just don't know if I love it on ME! (It's so commanding!)

Fay - Thank-you, Fay! I'm sure you look lovely in red, and if suits you, that's brilliant! :) (You see now with me, I LOVE pink. Pink and black are my two favourite colours to wear!)

Joanne - Ooh, so many people have said yellow! I'm curious to experiment! And thanks, Joanne :)

Natalie - Ugh, BROWN! I don't blame you. It's not the prettiest of shades!

Angela - Well spotted Angela, it is indeed! :) (So are the shoes!)

Red is definitely your colour, Corrine! That dress is fab! Is it a Modcloth number?

Oh! You look great in red!

I went through a stage of only wearing black and red. However, I tend to stear clear of wearing red when I have pink hair.

I don't tend to wear brown. It was the colour of my school uniform all of my school years and I now loathe it.

Oooh, probably yellow. I find it's such a hard colour to wear. You have rocked the red though. ;)

I think you look LOVELY in red!

Red is actually one of my favourite colours to wear... apparently it suits me.

However, pink is my enemy in terms of wearing it.

I just don't feel comfortable in pink. At all.

Red is one of my favourite colours to wear head-to-toe! You pull is off beautifully :)

I just feel that red makes a person look powerful and confident, and that's a look I love.

I loooooooooooove wearing red. The color I shy away from the most is blue. Having lived with cyanotic side-effects of my heart condition, I thought wearing blue would just make me look especially sickly. I'm better now, but I still srtuggle (especially blue eye shadow)

I think you look great in red! It goes really nicely with your skin tone. Personally I love red, but I'm not too keen on yellow or orange. Yellow doesn't seem to suit my pale skin, and I just can't get the hang of orange.

As yet I don't know anyone who has worn head-to-toe tin foil. Perhaps we should both do it, and start a new trend?

18 Aug 2011, Miss Peregrin, http://missperegrinssecrets.blogspot.com

Oh, Corrine - I think red suits you amazingly well!

I wouldn't ever be caught wearing all white. It's a terrible colour on me!

18 Aug 2011, Ani., http://thraseia.blogspot.com

You look amazing! love the red.

18 Aug 2011, Samantha, reinventedsamantha.blogspot.com

You do look great in red but I know how you feel! I thought I was the only one who avoided red! I have exactly 3 red things...1 $2 tee, a pair of thrifted pants that I wore a few times last summer and have since gotten lost in the closet and 1 beautiful red dress that was gifted and I've worn only once to a costume party! Maybe I do need to get out of my box but it's always "Yikes!" in red...

You look fab in red x

Lara - Really?! Thanks Lara! I didn't have a clue that it was set to be huge this year! (How informative are you?! Thanks!)

Amber - It just seems to be one of those colours that you either love and wear frequently or resist, doesn't it? And gosh, thank-you! That's so lovely of you to say! :)

Julie - Awww, thanks Julie! I still feel kind of weird in it. And seriously?! I'm shocked! Yellow is one of those colours that I think would look AMAZING on you!

18 Aug 2011, Corrine/Frock & Roll, www.frockandrollonline.com

Red suits you really well Corrine :D. It is bold but whatever, if you like it then you should wear it.

I wouldn't wear head to toe yellow. It makes me look really sick :S and not in a good way u_u.

18 Aug 2011, Julie, http://juliettemaxwell.com

I don't wear a lot of red, either. I don't know if I even own any red clothes. You pull it off rather well, though!

18 Aug 2011, Amber , http://AmberJohnstone.com

I don't wear much read either! You look great though! It really suits your coloring and red is supposed to be huge this Fall/Winter. I'm not big on yellow. It just doesn't look right on me. Oh, and navy blue. I wear jeans all the time but don't own a single navy blue item!
