Q: ''Pft. So?''

A: So?! But it's one of the most exciting days of the WEEK! The weekend's a comin'! The
promise of a brand new week is here! (Hooray, fresh starts!) AND (dun dun DA!) we celebrate exactly those things, and everything fine and dandy that's happened in between!

Q: ''But my week was CRAP. And, in fact, something else that rhymes with 'fit'. Oh, and a hint? It definitely isn't 'moonlit'.''

A: Oh, please! You mean to tell me that there wasn't ONE special moment during your week? That you didn't experience a single spectacular thing? (And damn, I was so convinced that it was going to be 'moonlit'.) N-o-n-s-e-n-s-e! Of course you did! It doesn't matter if it was a cup of coffee, finding $1 in your bedroom or the fact that you just had a really good conversation with someone intriguing... it's worth appreciating!

Q: ''But WHY?''

A: Because you'll feel better. Happier. More content. You'll start to notice and savour the little, more glorious things in life, and before you even know it, your perspective will start to shift. (In a nutshell? The bad days won't seem so bad, and the good days? They'll shine even brighter.)

Here's what's making my list this week!

x My New Blender - It's shiny! It's white! It brings with it a rock-solid excuse for me to never miss breakfast AGAIN! Oh, I am smitten with it so. I bought it yesterday and I am most enthused about trialling it out on the weekend! (And the fact that it even came with a nifty little recipe book, full of smoothie, cocktail and frappe` ideas such as double chocolate caramel fudge nut and pineapple sorbet? I can see it already: we're going to be inseperable!)

x Whip It - It's only taken me approximately 10,8775 years to see it (I am always so behind on movies, ugh! Can you believe that I've never even seen Lord Of The Rings, The Matrix or anything else that has been massively popular over the past decade? Terrible!) but I finally did the other night and absolutely LOVED it! (Hey, if anything can convince me that something sport-related can be fabulous, you just know that it's excellent.) Seriously, Roller Derby? It just looks like TOO much fun, and Drew Barrymore? Love her!

x Improving My Wellbeing - I am so frighteningly inconsistent with my health and I'm overdue for an overhaul in the biggest of ways! As with most other things in my life, when it comes to my wellbeing, I seem to adopt a firm ''all or nothing!'' approach and believe me when I say that for at least the past month, it's been a whole lot of nothing. It's time to clean my act up! (Blender, I don't mean to alarm you, but that's partly one of the reasons why you've been hired.) I'm not introducing any drastic changes (to be honest, I'm definitely not a rules kind of girl and could never promise to fulfil anything too strict!); just tweaks. Big enough to make a difference to how I'm feeling, such as remembering to reach for water at least HALF of the time when I'm thirsty, and not just Pepsi Max (yes, I am a slave to caffiene!), incorporating vegetables into at least ONE of my meals each day and stopping to consider that - gasp! - chocolate isn't an essential daily food group, but small enough for my body not to rebel against and instead, play nice with.

x Other Little Things - Realising that I'll be in New Zealand in almost a WEEK! (So, so, SO excited!); threats from my sister: ''the first night you get here, we are GOING OUT! I don't care if you're tired! I don't care if you don't want to! I will be dragging your butt around every single bar in the city!'' (Auckland, beware!); Lady Gaga and Beyonce`'s Telephone (it has been on high-rotation on my playlist this week, and while I don't usually believe in regrets, I REALLY wish that I had bought tickets for the Lady Gaga concert that was here last week!); giant strawberries; playing dress-ups; finding a store which stocks New Zealand delicacies from my childhood; Timbaland's Board Meeting (ha, if only they really DID play that song during board meetings!; quality sleep; and $3.50 scarves that you know you're going to wear the bejesus out of!

xoxo

29 Mar 2010, Rhiannon

Me? Your loving sister make threats? Pfft!!! Sooooooooooo not in my character....*cough AND HOLD THE BEACH cough*

See one of the plus things about having Mum here (or should I say one of the MANY plus reasons just incase she reads this ha ha ha) is i can come over and use her internet :) I haven't been able to check out your blog for a ridiculous amount of time but now that I am able to catch up I am loving reading it :)

Ummmmmmmm this list will be hard for me as I spent majority of the week vomiting, and when i went back to work I was arguing with lawyer parents about their children.......HOWEVER.....my "It's Friday" reflection is that I have the best friends and flatmates ever! Oh and not to mention....being on the countdown till you get your behind over here woman!!!!

Julie - Ha! Oops! I can imagine that you're not too particularly fond of the above Liv Tyler image then, sorry!

What kind of photography does Alekz do?

Congratulations to him, and enjoy your Spring Break!

NZ!! So exciting.

My week:

- Getting free ice cream: even though it was strawberry cheescake and my hate for strawberries intensified tenfold.

- Alekz's photo expo: I feel like a proud mama. He was awesome and his pictures are amazing.

- Spring Break: As of now, I'm on Spring Break for the next two weeks. I love going to a VERY catholic uni.

- Google Dev Fest anticipation: Google, conferences, free food!!!

Alex - Hahahahaha, that's a win right there! And that's actually one of the other main reasons why I bought

one: to try and curb my frequent Boost cravings! And also, I keep hearing so many delicious smoothie recipes being thrown about lately: I read one the other day that had something like coconut milk, hazelnuts, blueberries and chocolate in it, YUM. I swear, I was almost drooling at my desk!

I know, I know. The epitome of elegance, I am.

Ohh, I want a blender!

That way I don't have to spend so much money at Boost Juice. :)

Great post, Corrine. You'll have a blast in NZ. :)

.... I just realised that I do actually own a blender.
