Which means that it's time for your weekly photocopier appreciation class!
No, no, of course it doesn't. That's on WEDNESDAY.
It means that it's time to celebrate the week that was!
Here's what I'm currently cherishing:
x Spending Six Years With My Boyfriend - I was 15 when I first met my boyfriend. 15! We worked together and sure, I DID always think of him as ''that cool guy who likes the same sort of music as me'' (sad, but true: this seems to be how any relationship that I've had has formed!), never did I suspect that a little less than two years later we would be DATING, and that we would continue to for the next six years! Relationships can be flipping hard work sometimes and perhaps even more so when your partner is seven years older than you (!), but jeez, do I love Tom. He is the smartest, wisest, funniest, kindest, most patient and encouraging person that I've ever known, which is precisely why I'm so excited to celebrate six years of exactly that tomorrow!
x High School Reunion Anticipation - Okay, so with the birth of social media (hello, Facebook and Twitter!) and the subsequent ease with which internet stalking can be completed, the high school reunion probably isn't QUITE as relevant/prominent as it once was. Nobody has to wonder what __ is doing because oh, look! There's their holiday snapshots of them go-carting in Swaziland! And ah, so that's what __ thinks about microscopes - it's all in their status!
Yes, information about other people is so readily available these days, but how likely is that you'll all often meet up with another? If you're anything like everyone in my year/grade at high school, never! Which is why I'm so delighted that one clever girl has taken the initiative to organise a miniature high school reunion for October, five years later; I can't wait!
This is one of my favourite songs!
x Other Little Things - Taking my lunch to Newport Beach and eating it in the sunshine; glitter eyeliners (so very fun! So very sparkly! Such a great - *ba doom chi* eye-dea!); feeling the sand between my toes; big, thumping, smack-you-in-the-face realisations; fresh, new, spring-like scents; sprinkling my business cards across the city; and looking forward to our anniversary dinner at home tomorrow night (saving!), consisting of no less than wholemeal spaghetti served with homemade walnut pesto sauce and garlic bread, argh! So delicious!
x Do something unusual.
Happy Friday! How was your week?
P.S. Did you know that you can become a fan of pot plants on Facebook? You totally can! But you can also become a fan of Frock & Roll on there, too, and obviously one of these is the superior choice. (*cough* It's the pot plants *cough*)
6 years! That is so great! xoxo
Congratulations on six years! Here's to many more!
Huge congratulations on 6 years! I hope you have lots and lots of fun. I didn't really do anything this weekend. I bought textbooks for college, did some website updates, and did a little college packing so it was productive.
Aw, congrats on six years with your boyfriend! That's awesome :] ♥
& Yess. Glitter eyeliner is amazing :D
Have a super awesome weekend & enjoy your anniversary!

Wow, 6 years! Congrats!
I agree with you on high school reunions, I don't think we're ever going to experience that OH MY GOD YOU WERE WHO IN HIGH SCHOOL? moments!
Woah, big big big congrats! :)
The idea of a high school reunion actually TERRIFIES me. All those people I thought I'd gotten away from! Ugh.
Have a great weekend love!!
Mega congrats on your anniversary! Six years is a very impressive length of time.
Congratulations for your 6 years together!!
This week I'm obsessing over peacocks, they're not all about vanity, did you know? And they have gorgeous colours.
Yay for 6 years! Have a fab weekend darlin' my week has been fabulous x
Oh, wow! Congratulations on your six-year anniversary. It's always so amazing when couples are together for such a long time - it gives us all so much hope. :D
My week was pretty average, but I'm going to try and do something unusual tomorrow by taking my dog for a long walk (ok, not too unusual, but quite needed)
I am doing something unusual tomorrow -- working. On a Saturday. You should make that - do something unusual AND non-sucky (that you still get paid for :)
Maybe I'll grab a yummy brunch when I go to vote to make up for it.
Alex - YAY! Especially because I know EXACTLY how much that would have meant to you, hahaha! I'm so glad that you did, and thank-you, you too! xoxo
Julie - CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR AWARD, JULIE! That's awesome! And good luck with your potential clients; fingers crossed!
Raquel - Thank-you! Teehee, well, we HAVE broken up before, so perhaps I can't say that it's been six consecutive years, but we started dating on the 21st of August 2004, so I say it counts ;D And ooh, wowee! That dinner sounds like so much fun! Have a ball! (I can't wait to hear all about it!)
Sounds like an awesome week! My week was really, really busy, but surprisingly good.
Well done on six years with your bf! The longest I managed was 2 years, with my ex. Haha I'm only 19 years old, but I've already had two long term relationships! I'm not looking for commitment now lol I need to enjoy being single.
As for unusual... Gem and her man and I are going to a hare krishna restaurant on Saturday. Not sure if that counts but I'm looking forward to it.
Congrats on your anniversary :D. Also, yes, Europe with your bf sounds positively romantic and awesome!
- getting along with my team of freshmen
- recieving my academic excelence award :DDDDDD
- sitting next to price charming during the award ceremony and walking together to get our awards, making each other laugh and just being silly together
- potential clients
- making my first mobile application and seeing it work on my cell phone :D
- professors that treat you like friends and are big kids themselves and professors who estimate you to no end
Awesome week for me :D
Awww, congratulations on the 6 years with Tom, Corrine! That's so sweet and exciting. Your anniversary dinner sounds scrumptious too!
My week was average...until today when I met JULIA GILLARD. (For non Australian readers, she is the Prime Minister of Australia)
Have a wonderful weekend! x
