What do I love this week?
Dentists? No! Car tyres? Well, not so much. Delightful ''we're closing the restaurant down soon, you kind of need to take this conversation elsewhere'' length chats and David Guetta's and Kid Cudi's Memories? YES! And much, much more...
x Deep, Long, Meaningful Conversations - None of this filler business! I love a conversation that I can sink my teeth into! (Except not literally, because that would be kind of disconcerting, right?!) On Wednesday night my friend Carmen and I went out for an impromptu dessert/tea/red wine date, and the very best thing about it (apart from the phenomenal sticky date pudding - oh, sticky date pudding, marry me, won't you?!) was the really deep, long, delve-right-in-there-and-leave-no-topical-stone-untouched natter that we had: seriously, it was GOOD stuff. I think that almost every conversation should be like that! Forget the ''how are you'''s and ''oh, nothing much'''s - I want to know what you're thinking, and what you're feeling! (I'm also insatiably nosy, but please don't hold that against me!)
x Listening To My Boyfriend's Drumming & Feeling Extremely Proud - Much like I imagine he must feel when I waffle on about blog this and Facebook that, my boyfriend plays the drums and while I try to listen to 99.9% of what he tells me about the glory of hi-hat stands, somewhere between ''and then this does THIS'' my mind invariably scampers off to ''ooh, I wonder what we're having for dinner?'' land. How sillily happy I was then last night when I turned on my iTunes to find two recordings of his music and feel EXTREMELY proud after listening to them. I still don't know too much about hi-hat stands, but I do know that whatever he's doing with them sounds pretty exceptional!
x The Happiest DJ On Earth Video - Oh. my. GOODNESS. The lovely Sarah Von of Yes & Yes actually shared this video on Twitter, and, well, it sort of definitely made my evening. Look, I don't know what party he's at, but I want to BE THERE!
x Other Little Things - Being (hug!) attacked in the supermarket from behind by a friend that I hadn't seen for months and months and months; sweet boys who write poems for girls; having somebody (actually, a few people this week!) completely read my mind; wasabi coated peas; working on a delicious stack of projects that I love (pipe down, vaccumming, I'm not talking about you!); Nine Inch Nails' Terrible Lie and David Guetta and Kid Cudi's Memories; a message from one of my best friends saying that she's coming to Sydney soon (yay!); finding bargains online; giving my microwave a rest for the night by somehow managing to bake a vegetarian cottage pie, complete with sour cream and chives flavoured mashed potatoes and parmesan cheese! (Yes, I did promptly glance out my window to see if there were pigs flying out there!); and visiting Wiseman's Ferry tomorrow! Viva la miniature road trip!

Thanks for the reminder, picture!
x Skip the text message and if you can, send somebody a photo message, instead. It's infinitely more surprising and interesting! (I think I'm going to take one holding up an A4 sign saying ''I miss you!'' or ''have I told you lately that you're AWESOME?!'' and send it to people!)
x Try something new for your skin. An oil instead of a moisturiser? A serum instead of a balm? A peel? An exfoliant? Ooh!
♥
Happy, happy Friday! How was YOUR week? What do YOU love? My insatiable nosiness hasn't disappeared to anywhere, you know! (Unfortunately, neither has that vaccuum cleaner!)
xoxo
I love your list! And I love the idea of sending someone a photo message. :) It's Friday here in NZ, so happy Friday again!

Hmm I love conversations too , ESP when combined with cakes and food.
If sticky date puding is your true love, mine is creme brûlée, chocolate fondants , souffles and dark chocolate mousse. I'm more of a polygamist really :)

My week was amazing, it went by quickly! Always a good thing.
As for skipping the small talk, you and I both! I don't like meaningless banter about the weather! Tell me what your goals in life are! What are your opinions and feelings? What's bothering you?
I live for those kinds of conversations. :)
Also, I love sending out picture messages, and I love receiving them. They're just a cute little cherry on top of ones day.
Great post and happy Friday!

Happy Friday to you too! My week has been pretty laid-back, but it's been raining almost every day.

I'm sitting in our lazyboy chair feeling absolutely knackered! It just feels like one of those weeks although I'm stunned that we're through 3/10ths of the term already. I love my boy because he is picking me up a "Peanut Piston" burger and a strawberry soy milkshake from Burger Fuel!
