BLOG
Hello, and HAPPY FRIDAY SATURDAY! What's filling me with glee this week? Well! I thought you'd never ask.. x Frock & Roll's First Birthday - Yes! Today is Frock & Roll's first birthday! And what a very happy, fun-filled one it has been indeed. From tutorials on tape walls to discussions about all-black ensembles, it's been an excellent twelve months and If I could, I would whisk all of you away to a spectacular venue to feed you cake (bought, of course. You know what I'm like in the kitchen!) and champagne and tell you how enormously grateful I am for each and every single one of you - because honestly? You're all the best! Thank-you IMMENSELY for your support and comments which have made me laugh, smile, think and realise that I know absolutely nothing about fejoas over the past 365 days - and here's to many more years of silliness!
x Exercising - What?! Are we still at the same website?! With an opening like that, you would certainly be excused for temporaily thinking that we weren't! After all, when my usual exercise routine consists of just shuffling around the house and walking the dog up and down the street, it's almost unbelievable to imagine that I could actually be exercising again and - shock! - enjoying it! But I AM. When I was 16, I used to walk EVERYWHERE. Suburbs an hour apart? Sure! Houses in completely opposite directions? Why not?! And then along came a boyfriend with a car (not that I'm complaining!) and the lure of public transport (I could definitely complain about that, but won't, because that would be b-o-r-i-n-g), and my motivation for walking trailed along happily after them. But! This week I've reginited my passion for huge walks and even though my limbs currently feel as though they've been hit by a truck and then reversed over, it's been completely worth it!
x Researching Hotels In London - It has been my obsession of the week and obsessing I am! I have four months to choose somewhere to stay and given the fact that my boyfriend has never been overseas before and that our trip in October is largely to celebrate one of his milestone birthdays, I want it to be somewhere special!
x Other Little Things - Enthusiasm (it is such an irresistable quality!); talking to my best friend; discount stores, and all the fabulously cheap (and fun!) thrills that they contain; filling my diary with quotes, pictures and lists galore; ''partying 'til the cows come home, and then partying with the cows!''; english muffins; raspberry berets; crossing tasks off my to-do list; banana cupcakes; watching episodes of The Simpsons; hair consultations; exceptional customer service; celebration bubbles; dinner plans; evaluating my priorities; fearless communication; studded wallets; $5 Eiffel Tower brooches (oui!); and new reading material!

x I Can't Stop Listening To - Boney M (Tom was trying to convince me today that Lady Gaga's Bad Romance had taken inspiration from their 70's disco hit, Rasputin - but I don't know, I just don't see it!), Peter Bjorn & John's Amsterdam, Metallica and The Presets!
x A Lesson Learned - Personal responsibility is a concept that's equal parts terrifying and enlightening, but one that's ultimately (when acknowledged) extremely rewarding! (More on that to come next week!)
x Throw a picnic! (Who needs an occasion?! And if you do, pretend that it's National 'Appreciate The Genuis That Is Sitting On A Blanket And Feasting On Delicious Sandwiches' Day!)
x Review the previous six months: how has 2010 shaped out to be for you? Have you followed through on your resolutions from the begnning of the year? Did you have any resolutions?! How would you like the next six months to be remembered in the future? Would you like a drink from the fridge while I grab one in the next couple of minutes? Questions, questions!
♥
Tell me! How was YOUR week? (And have a superb weekend!)
xoxo
Happy Belated Birthday!!!! May this next year be even more magical than the first for you and Frock & Roll!
I don't know how this post slipped by me (ok, well, i sort of do, since i don't do bloggy stuff on weekends much...)
I agree with you on exercise! I'm on my second week of the "long walks/jogs @ the gym wearing Shape Ups [HA] and doing an hour of yoga every morning" exercise routine. it feels FABULOUS, even if i don't look any different, hehe :D

Yes, I would love a drink while you are up. What do you have?
Happy Blog-a-versary Frock & Roll!
This week I am immensely looking forward to our upcoming holiday - three weeks to go!
I am depressed over the lack of long-sleeved winter dresses in NZ.
I am currently sitting on the couch under a blanket - that sounds like a bad thing but really it is a positive. It's an NZ reverse picnic... eating breakfast under a blanket, rather than eating lunch on top.
I may or may not have taken some cold meds... this post may not make a lot of sense :)

HAPPY 1st BDAY FROCK & ROLL!!!
My week:
- Waking up at ungodly hours to watch football/soccer because of the World Cup
- Falling ill again because of the aforementioned World Cup excitement (which oddly is a good thing)
- Ooogling the super hot players (France? Uruguay? Mexico (had to mention it, after all Chicharito, Guille Franco and Maza are super hot! Let's not forget Rafa Marquez!)?
- Buying shoes
- Maximus being all fluffy from the groomers
- mostly the WORLD CUP, my world will revolve around it for the next month :D
