Things that I adore! Things which are thrilling me to bits! Things, things, things!

x Spring Cleaning - Okay, so it's definitely not Spring, but if cleaning my apartment from top-to-toe under the guise that I'm spring cleaning is what it takes to sort all of my things out, then I'll happily play along! Last Saturday I completed some of the tasks that I've been putting off for approximately 3,000 years: I went through every single cupboard, drawer and cosmetic bag in my bathroom and tossed out anything that hadn't been used in over three months, had expired or just seemed, well, plain wrong (dear weird beige-y coloured lipstick: why?!); sorted, folded and neatly hung everything in my wardrobe; organised the 1.3 billion pieces of jewellery that were lying around in every nook and cranny; and vaccummed, polished and scrubbed the place to within an inch of its life! Now, it's probably not quite the Saturday that most people would swoon about, but the fact that I now have a vague idea of where everything is? BLISS!

x Mid-Week Date Nights- Because why should Friday and Saturday night have all the fun?! On Wednesday night, two of my best friends and I headed out for coffee red wine and cake, and we had such a criminally good time that I'm convinced that mid-week date nights should be a must-have tradition for every week! In fact, I may just crown Wednesday my new favourite 'going out' night. (Does anybody want to go bowling next week?!)

x Sticky Date Pudding At The On Shore Cafe` & Brassiere - Don't be fooled by that shockingly bright/appalling photo: it was absolutely DELICIOUS! I've tried hundreds of variations of Sticky Date Pudding and while most have been nothing short of exceptional (excluding the weird oven bake-only variety that I bought one time which I tried to outsmart/gobble faster by throwing in the microwave, only for it to burn to a crisp - d'oh!), this was by FAR the best one that I've ever eaten. Toffee sauce! Slivered almonds! Can I have its number?!

x Other Little Things - Fiddling around with my camera and learning what makes it tick (or better yet, WORK!); listening to old-school Madonna on a Saturday night (Deeper & Deeper, Erotica, Secret, Human Nature, ARGH! I had forgotten just how much I loved them!); bizarre dreams; twelve-hour sleeping sessions; vegie nut rissole sandwiches from Tongue Teasers in Newport; making plans with my boyfriend to visit every single restaurant in our suburb; bosses who let you sneak off early; new readers (and discovering some excellent new blogs to read as a result, whee!); wearing sequinned ballet flats and finding little dropped sequins everywhere; hearing that Metallica are planning to tour Australia and New Zealand in November (what?!); conversations about speed-dating (my friend Priyanka went a couple of Saturday nights ago and had SUCH a good time! Although that's possibly because she took the ''phony answers'' route and told her potential dates that she was a garbologist who had just recently completed her degree in Garbology at university, among many, many other ridiculous things!); being uncharacteristically domestic and preparing, cooking and freezing seven days' worth of meals for the week ahead (just call me Nigella...); and the annual Lifeline Fete, which happens tomorrow: second-hand jewellery, homewares and clothing, as well as an assortment of jams and freshly baked cakes? I am there!

What are your favourite things this week? What are you celebrating or appreciating on this glorious Friday?!

xoxo

Mid week dates sound like such a good idea. It's all too easy to just hibernate when the weather gets a bit cold!

Inspired by reading this post this morning, I've just gone on my own not-spring-cleaning spree! Bathroom is clean, sheets and towels changed and washed, three loads of washing complete, floors vacuumed, accessory shelves all tidied up... feels good :D

(This is the lady-formerly-know-as Fiend, btw :P)

Alex - Hahahaha, it sure FELT like it! And I would love to go bowling with you! Why do you have to live over an hour away?! I really want to go bowling next Wednesday night!

Also, your new purchases sound AWESOME! I love Modcloth but (maybe thankfully?!) everything I want on there is ALWAYS sold out! But Ebay? We've been lovers for years. I love it so much!

Garbology? Isn't that what we did at TAFE in our Thursday class..?

BOWLING! That is what we should do. Hahaha. I am so bad at it.

This week I am loving that I purchased a necklace holder from Modcloth (for $17!!) and a bangle holder from eBay (FOR $1.57!!!!!!) I bought two of them because they were so cheap. Finally, all my accessories will be in order.. now to clean out that scarf rack...
