BLOG
What do I love? Fridays! Why do I love them? Gosh, where do I even start?! (The words ''end of the week'' and ''um, weekend!'' are beginning to spring to mind!) And finally, what are my favourite things from the past seven days? Why, let me inform you!
x Discovering New Music - Because I seem to live in some kind of permanent music time warp (no, really. Ask me about any song on the radio today and I can almost GUARANTEE that I won't have heard it; it's terrible! Even more embarrassing is the fact that if you were to ask me about any song from the 1970's or something, I would completely be able to rattle off the lyrics and everything!), I had forgotten how wonderful the thrill of discovering a new album or single that makes you swoon truly is! What my ears are in love with at the moment: Alice In Chain's album Black Gives Way To Blue (it is superb), The Deftones' album Diamond Eyes, and The Dead Weather's single I Cut Like A Buffalo. Brilliant.
x Zooey Deschanel - And while STILL riding the music train... I adore She & Him! (Sweet Darlin' and Sentimental Heart have both been subjected to high-rotation on my Ipod this week!) But namely I just adore their frontwoman, actress Zooey Deschanel, and all her tambourine-playing, vintage-inspired style in general.
x Planning Fun Adventures - I am so excited for next week! Why? Well, for starters, my boyfriend and I both happen to have a weekday off together (trust me when I say that this never, EVER happens!), and are already devising ideas on exactly how to spend it! (So far, our plan looks something like this: 1) Rummage through the army disposal store in the city. 2) Have lunch somewhere delicious. 3) Visit The Red Oak Boutique Beer Cafe`. 4. Take the tourist-y route back home and catch the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly.) The day after? I am 99.9% likely going on a second-hand store shopping spree with the always amusing Vita (and also, hopefully the wonderful Emma and Alex!), and on the Friday night? Watching Jeff Martin perform at The Manly Fishos! It is going to be good.

x The 'International Blogger Meet-Up!' Post At ScribblesNZ - So, do you remember how I was saying last week that while I was in New Zealand, I had my first blogger meet-up and met the lovely Natasha of ScribblesNZ? Well look! She was kind enough to even write about it here, and share a photo from the day, too! (Excuse the large black flower shape over Natasha's face, pretty as it is; it has been added to preserve her anonymity!)
x Other Little Things - Walking around the supermarket eating white chocolate and macadamia cookies; tofu stir-fries; fits of giggles; lavender scented moisturiser; re-heating hot cross buns; messages from people that you haven't spoken to for ages; waking up early to take a stroll across the beach and take a billion different photos; long conversations with kind strangers; excitedly discussing Europe; permanent arty anticipation; feathered collars; seeing everyone starting to wear their jackets and cardigans again (it means that it is DEFINITELY getting cooler, which is magnificent because I love, love, love winter! Yes, I am possibly insane...); making small tweaks to Frock & Roll; buying up Easter eggs at 70% off (I really, really shouldn't have... but did. Three caskets full, in fact, argh!); Vanilla Chai flavoured soy milk; huge packs of scented glitter pens and using them to write everything; hiding goodnight notes on my boyfriend's side of the bed for evenings when I'm not there; and, as always, the EXCELLENT comments which are left all over the place here all of the time (yes, that includes the very informative one advising me that no, fejoas are actually NOT from New Zealand, but South America. Oops! My apologies, fejoas!): I love them! They never fail to make me smile (you're all so clever and interesting!) and they're always the first thing I read when I open the internet, so THANK-YOU!
♥
How was YOUR week? What are you loving today? Happy weekend!

Yes, we definitely are going shopping! Op shops in my area just don't cut it. The Sydney ones are just fantastic.
And Corrine, don't feel guilty about the Easter egg purchases.... I did the same thing! I just really love those solid eggs and hate not having them for most of the year, ha ha.
Winter is the best time of year! Love it.
Once again, fabulous post Corrine! xx

Oh I am so like you, out of the mainstream, but not by choice. It's mainly because I have literally no time to do my usual last.fm routine where I search for new music and artists. I will be checking those out. Happy weekend!

I am loving just sitting back, putting my iPod on Shuffle, and listening to music. I, like you, adore discovering new music; and it seems like I keep doing that right on my iPod.
Happy, Happy Weekend, my love!! :)

I'd go for the tourist route, I love doing tourist stuff when the city is empty and can enjoy it's beauty.
After the job fiasco, which I'm really happy to have left in time... I loved the Google Dev Fest, setting a trip to the Papalote Museum for Kids with my dear Prince Charming, doing awesome in what I feared would be my worst subject this semester aaaand new opportunities all around me!!!
