What do you do when your best friend of a zillion years announces that she's moving to another state in a mere two weeks? Why, hit up the city, of course! TOURIST STYLE!

First stop? Sydney's Pancakes On The Rocks at (wait for it!) The Rocks, where we proceeded to conquer a colossal array of potato, chive and hollandaise pancakes and mushroom crepes, topped off with a delectable strawberry dessert pancake, whipped to perfection and served with ice cream, drizzled maple syrup and fresh strawberries. Y-U-M.

Worth feeling like you had perhaps swallowed a beachball or possibly conceived some kind of sugar-laden food baby afterwards?! Definitely!

We then traipsed around Circular Quay and Sydney's CBD, taking photos, chatting to random tourists and generally being our ridiculous sensible selves. Awww Caroline, I will miss you! But I'm also not-so-secretly thrilled that I now have a valid excuse to flit to Queensland's Gold Coast on a regular basis to visit you, teehee!

Impromptu Michael Jackson dance parties at 2am; mineral make-up; watching Seinfeld on repeat and marvelling at the comedy GENUIS that is George Costanza (''he was be-bopping and scatting all over me and I was losing it, LOSING IT!''); and invitations to superb-sounding events, ooh la la!
