BLOG
So, this week's 'It's Friday' was supposed to kick off with a lovely snapshot of my Certificate IV Media & Communications classmates and I, laughing, devouring multiple pieces of cake and generally having a jolly time as we celebrated the completion of our studies, farewelled the brilliant Alex as she disembarks into the world of university/full-time employment and the impending bliss of five weeks of sweet, sweet holidays!
But of course, I slept through my alarm and completely missed the entire event. Which looks a lot like this.. :

.. but not so much like this:

Is that a round of applause I hear? Gosh, I thought so. Anyhoo! Here's how the rest of the week panned out, and the most epic moments that it entailed!
x New Zealand In September! - On Monday, my family and I booked our plane tickets to New Zealand for a much-needed sabbatical, birthday bashes and family reunions aplenty, and I'm anticipation central! We're flying into Christchurch, before journeying to Blenheim and then finishing in Whakatane! Magic.
x Shopping Sprees - Fact: I am appallingly frugal. In recent months, my shopping mantra has totally shifted from ''ooh! I'll take one of each in every colour!'' to ''it costs more than $50? Ha, not likely!'' I suspect this new mindset is the sheer result of contemplating whether or not I would like a new pair of shoes vs. whether or not I'd like to be trapsing through Europe and without fail, the latter always wins. However.. sometimes I forget all this and wind up in Myer ponying up my cash for a gorgeous Review dress, and you know what? Occasionally, it feels very fabulous.
x Other Little Things - Scribe's Dreaming; researching beer tours in Germany; dinner plans; spending the weekend with two of my favourite people in the world, Ebay mania and finally..

R.I.P, Michael Jackson. While this is totally embarrassing, I am perhaps ridiculously emotional over your death, 100% breaking my tradition of listening to Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough at least once a day. I love you, always and forever!
