Style Session: How To Wear... Sequins! (WITHOUT Looking Like An Extra From 'Priscilla: Queen Of The Desert') ♥

Fact: I love sequins! They've forever been my favourite choice of embellishment, so much so that once upon a time I decided that I would wear a sequined piece every single DAY as some sort of personal tribute to my eternal love of all things shiny! This plan was quickly thwarted once I discovered that I only owned one sequined dress (of criminally short proportions!), a cardigan and a bangle, but oh, my adoration has continued regardless.
A common complaint about sequins, however, is that they're impossible to wear without appearing marginally showgirl-esque, or strictly at evenings - so here's some ideas on how to integrate them into your daily wardrobe, or with even the simplest of outfits!
A Fabulous Pair Of Shoes
A sprinkle of sequins on a pair of kicks can add an injection of allurement to even the most ho-hum of outfits! Subtle enough to appease your inner magpie and play nicely with a casual get-up of jeans and a tee, but luxurious enough to make people scratch their heads with quiet wonder and look twice.
An Exquisite Head Or Hair Piece
There are some mornings where it's apparent that the only remedies for an impromptu attack of grump-itis are hiding under a blanket, watching multiple episodes of Sex & The City and baking gingerbread men. For those where you can't, slip on a glitzy headband that says ''why yes, I DO still have to go into the office when I'm feeling about as cheerful as Marilyn Manson, but hey, at least I'm going to look DAMN cute while I'm at it!''

hey, what's wrong with dressing like priscilla!??! lol.
i have about 4 different pairs of sequined harem pants in my wardrobe from my own line. they truely make me smile each time i put them on. i also have a sequined captain's hat. it's the best thing ever. every girl needs some sequins!

Great suggestions! A sequined tank is a great piece, too - throw on a cardigan or blazer and it's totally office-appropriate.
