BLOG
Every now and then a beauty product will tickle my fancy so greatly that I feel the only polite thing to do is to sing its praises into the blogosphere, proclaiming its perfection!
Presenting, my current favourite loot on the beauty beat, and the very reasons that they're pushing all other products out of the cabinet...
First up? Dove's 'Fresh Burst: White Ginger & Nectarine' Body Wash. (Pictured to the right.) If you've ever wondered what it would be like to bathe in a sea of Starburst lollies (what, you haven't?!), or an enormous bag of fruit, you may just be all kinds of nuts about this zesty little number! Featuring a deliciously juicy scent and an ultra light, hydrating gel formula, there are few more pleasant ways to add a pep to your step in the morning.

Next in line? Maybelline's new 'Mineral Power' Range, starring none other than the liquid foundation and powder. Ah, humble Maybelline. Often the forgotten make-up child in comparison to its more expensive counter siblings, MAC and Clinique, I initially dismissed this line, despite perusing information about the heavy array of benefits that come with wearing a product that contains no oil, talc, perfume, dyes, alcohol or other comedogenic ingredients. That was, until I read THIS, and I snapped it up faster than you can say ''purplemonkeydishwasher''! The results? I've since been unable to wear anything else - it's glow-y properties make my skin feel glorious, and since converting to mineral make-up, I swear that my skin's condition has ACTUALLY changed: in a lovely, supremely-pleased-I-tried-it kind of way.

Covergirl's 'Lash Blash' mascara is hardly a fresh arrival on the pretty-ifying scene (smart cookies have probably been wearing it forever), but one that I was coaxed into trying after my mother repeatedly announced it's brilliance: and, as with most other things in life, darn it, she was right! It's a WINNER. With just a single pump and coat, lashes are instantly plumped and approximately ten times more bat-worthy, and all for the equivalent of a $20 bill! Marvellous.

Which products have you recently tried that are utterly swoon-worthy? Have any of these made an appearance in your shopping basket before?

I might have to try that body wash.. I love Dove for their real beauty campaign and like to support them for that sole reason!

I'm such a beauty slut most of the time! However, the ones I always return to include Bloom sheer colour in coral, Laura Mercier secret duo concealer and the discontinued Revlon skin brightener.

Ashe Mischief - REALLY?! Gosh, I'm shocked! I'm so fussy with mascaras (I always seem to have a massive problem with clumping, ugh), but I *love* this one! Strange. The Maybelline 'Mineral Power' range is well worth it, I'm obsessed!
Belle - Not at all. Orange make-up is my nemesis too, but this one has a really great, natural colour. I think there are four shades to choose from too, which is helpful!
Julie - I keep hearing amazing things about Bobbi Brown's cosmetics, so much so that I feel scandalous for not having tried any of them! Thanks for the tip :)
Stacey - It truly is yummy, I'm addicted to the scent! Any time I'm in a supermarket (which is often), no companion is safe from me shoving the bottle under their noses and exclaiming, ''smell, SMEEEEEEEEEELL!''

Ooo, that Dove Body Wash sounds scrumptious. I might have to pick myself up some next time I see it.
I recently found a mascara that I really like, I'm pretty sure it's been around forever as well, but I can't remember the name! Boo.

I've previously found Maybelline's foundations a bit too orange. Does the mineral makeup have this problem? Orange makeup is my nemesis.

I tried the Lash Blast and it's AWFUL on me. It totally makes my lashes look short and stumpy, if you could believe that. I was very disappointed, to say the least.
however, I am curious to try the Maybelliene!
