Creating A Daily Impact ♥

in I Want... Inspiration!, I Want... Change!

Stumbling out of bed, launching myself into the shower, manically tearing open the contents of my wardrobe in the search of appropriate garb and whizzing out the door to begin the commuting adventure to college - this is the first instalment of a typical day for me, and the sequel is only heightened by the addition of study, writing, further travelling across the city and work, work, work!

And while these activities are necessary in order to fulfil a variety of goals, and are, for the most part, enjoyable, a hectic schedule often leaves me too preoccupied to consider the daily impact that I'm creating, and how I could maximise the quality of my day.

So! How can I transform this? What courses of action can I take to establish that I am, as the above picture depicts, making each day worth living? For me, this involves taking baby steps such as ensuring that I engage in quality conversations with the people that I love, waking up leisurely with good music and enjoying a delicious breakfast, reviewing my list of ambitions, mulling over how I could improve the essence of another's day (whether it's holding the door open for a stranger, letting somebody in front of me in a queue or bringing delectable snacks into TAFE for my classmates!) and injecting as much bliss into my leisure time as possible, by organising events that leave me feeling inspired and europhic.

What does your daily routine look like? How could you instill (more) magic into your day?

xoxo

Ahhhh - I really need to get into a proper daily routine! I had one going for a while...you know, waking up early, relaxing over some toast and coffee, walking the dog and still having plenty of time to make another coffee while getting ready for work...

Lately it's been a mad dash just getting up and going to work - with nothing else!

From all of that rambling I realize that I need to wake up much MUCH earlier! ;)

Oh God, starting Monday my routine is going to look like this: wake up, shower, ave breakfast, drive to college, take class, work, eat, work more, class, drive home, collapse.

The things for me is that if I want to graduate next year, I'll have to keep up this fast paced way of living so while I drive in the middle of the worst traffic in the world, I play soothing music and I have plenty of time to mull about stuff and to relax.

I also try to complete all my work before I get home or before the weekend so I have time to spend with my friends and family without stressing myself.

One thing I'd love to do is to take advantage of my uni's gym. Many of my friends (those that I don't see that often) work out there in the mornings so I might just join in n_n.

I really need to figure out how I'm going to do this, C. I feel like it's been go, go, GO for far too long with no pauses to savor. Thanks for the reminder.

I've been trying to do the same kind of thing - you know, to inject a little more meaning and happiness into my days.

To do this I: do yoga, make sure I have time to think about what I'm going to wear, listen to Gala Darling podcasts, watch episodes of Daria, try new classes at the University gym, sew new clothes, and cuddle The Boyfriend.

I'm still waiting for the snacks

My daily routine is non-existent at the moment. Sometimes I do long for something fast-paced and hectic like you've described - it'd greatly reduce the amount of time I spend mulling things over instead of just getting them done!

I could definitely read more, make more attempt to contact my friends back home, and make more fun out of things like cooking dinner or going to zumba instead of using the plain old elliptical! Definitely worth thinking about. I also just made a post about things I hope to do more often, mostly as a blogger.
