No, not a tupperware party (although I have always been curious about those plastic shindigs!), but a SEX TOY party!
Okay, so marching along to such an event's never actually occurred to me either (who even knew that they existed?!), but when a fabulous colleague invited me to her home for an evening of giggles, wine and, um, an education on sex toys (courtesy of her sister's new sex toy business, Toys 'N Joys!), how could I refuse?! You only live once, and I figured that it was EXTREMELY unlikely that I'd ever be asked to a similar soiree again!
So what's involved? (And is it a horrendously awkward occasion?!) Basically, you're introduced to a range of products designed to make - how should I phrase this? SEXY times! - more interesting, and because you're typically surrounded by a group of friends, the embarrassment factor is surprisingly low. (Honestly, I only knew two people on the night, but due to a heap of fun name and get-to-know-you-better games with the other guests, I didn't feel uncomfortable at all!)
Everything was incredibly discreet. Order forms were subtly passed around at the beginning of the night, the hosts (the sensational Sarah and Sarah!) were COMPLETELY professional, and there were even fake Tupperware lists on hand to bring home in case you did feel apprehensive about admitting to anyone that you were at a sex toy party!

Have YOU ever attended a sex toy party? Would you ever attend a sex toy party? After spending approximately three hours perusing more sexual paraphernalia than I ever could have imagined, I can't say that I'd feel the curiosity to again, but it was definitely an interesting experience!

I would LOVE to go to a sex toy party, haha. I think it would be a fun experience. Plus it seems like a good way to get around stupid regional/state laws (maybe? maybe not, I'm not sure what the legality would be). Like, in Texas, stores aren't allowed to sell certain items unless they're advertised as "educational models". Pfff.

Funnily enough, one of my co-workers has one last year for her birthday. A LOT of my other co-working girls came along. Needless to say it was all a bit... reserved. There's a lot of gossiping going on at work and no one wanted to get involved in any sort of action, haha.
I can see this being fun with friends though. And hey - tupperware? I went to one and I'm glad I got out alive. Oh my, peer pressure and all that.

I just recently attended my first sex toy party! A friend of mine has just become a consultant for Pure Romance, a *romance product* company based here in the States. We got a group of friends together so she could host her first party, and we had an absolute blast!!! I mean, we all knew each other, but even we hadn't, she was very discreet and respectful, so I think even a crowd of strangers would have been very at ease :)
