Presenting, the weekly wrap-up of all things splendrous!

x Grand Meetings - Eeeeeeeeek. So, on Wednesday afternoon, my boyfriend and I made an appointment to discuss one of the things that we have ALWAYS dreamed about, but have secretly kind of feared due to the possible instance of being laughed out of the building... and that is, to purchase a place of our own!

We organised to meet with a loan specialist with the notion that even if we WERE met with hysterical cackling and swift rejection, we would at least be educated with more information on how to make ourselves more attractive as borrowers for the future... but after a couple of hours of assembling documents of our savings histories, reviewing our salaries and planning our goals, we were (amazingly!) pre-approved for a home loan! It feels a little bit scary, and massively daunting, but mostly? I'm just EXCITED! I'm really looking forward to not only finding a little place to decorate, but to (cringe! MUSH!) be setting my life up with someone I love, as well.

x Organising & Sorting - With a move on the agenda, I've been trawling through every nook and cranny of my cupboards and drawers, methodizing everything into keep, donate or Ebay piles, and even though it can be a bit of a laborious process, my inner Virgo can't help but relish in the structure!

A photo of Tom & I that I found from 2004!

x Principessa Delights - I've lusted after Principessa products for a while; they're not only the kinds of products that make perfect bathroom accessories, but the ones that smell insanely beautiful AND feel beneficial to your skin, too! Which is why I was extremely chuffed when Sam of Sassi Sam! gifted me with the decadent body cream and sugar scrub as a parting thank-you gift for interning with her for the past two weeks.. it was a lovely gesture, and working with her was such a valuable (and fun!) learning experience.

x Other Little Things - Tool; Sam's sweet tweet: ''I love having an intern, I want one all the time :-) Well I want this intern all the time, she's so awesome :-) @frockandroll'' (awwww!) and brainstorming, writing and editing with her; remembering to drink lots of water; Amanda Cole's I Hate Cinderella; cuddles; transformations; and actually anticipating returning to my studies next week: I've missed everyone!

So... tell me! Dinners? Latenight drinks? Acting on a wish, admiring skirts with a swish? What are you celebrating as the weekend approaches? How was YOUR week?

xoxo

Sounds like you had a great week at Sassi Sam! She sounds lovely and like a lot of fun too :)

If you find any awesome accessories in your cleaning out of room process that you for some reason are going to chuck out (bahaha)- I'm always searching for new accessories & other junk! Or you could do what interests you more and put it on eBay, ahaha.

Oh wow! Buying an apartment is a HUUUGE thing, I wish you the best of luck with that n_n.

My week was pretty much boring. I spent it coding and working and coding and working.

I did eat way to much sushi, the best mexicanized sushi ever!!!! It was surimi + cucumber + cream cheese + chipotle - delicious! I've been eating it nonstop all week.

I also got some stuff from eBay and I've been cuddling a lot with Maximus (my doggie).

ScribblesNZ - Awww. I can definitely understand how you're feeling, because I have to start applying for full-time work soon (once I finish my studies!), and the thought of not scoring some of the things that I'll apply for does seem slightly overwhelming.. but hey, whether's it a yay or a nay, at the end of the day, it all happens for a reason, doesn't it? :) That's what I'm telling myself and you should just give yourself a mental pat on the back and remind yourself of the same thing; at least you've tried lovely, and are putting yourself out there! I know you'll find the perfect one for you soon :)

Agggghhhh so jealous about your house buying! It's still a long way off for us, not wanting an impossibly large mortgage and not wanting to live in a slum is holding us back LOL. My week had highs and lows... low at the moment - I hate job rejections. Waiting for SB to come home for cuddles.
