BLOG
How do you know when you're massively, MASSIVELY behind on one of your weekly traditions, i.e., It's Friday?! Well! Other than a lurking sense of urgent guilt, there's the off chance that your best friend MAY just message you with the title ''IT'S SATURDAY!'' , as an all-important reminder of exactly what you HAVEN'T DONE. Oops. I'm terribly sorry! In addition to building report dramas, bidding craziness, an achy-breaky heart (it turns out that no sleep + a week of rubbish eating + copious amounts of energy drinks + high stress aren't so fantastic for your chest - who knew?!) and general real estate mayhem, things started to get REALLY interesting when Sydney's torrential rain forced our roof to collapse, submerging our entire house in water, and resulting in an epic flood... eek!
Yes, it's been seven days of pure calamity, but honestly? Often, that just makes it even MORE important to take a deep breath, close your eyes and savour everything that has been magnificent... so behold, my love-filled list of exactly that! :
x Feng Shui - Oh, I know. The idea of employing a host of ideas from an ancient Chinese system of aesthetics may sound nuttier than a bowl of cashews, but to me, it makes so much sense! The concept works around the belief that by arranging your furniture and adjusting the positioning of objects in your home, you'll encourage productivity, prosperity and creativity, and to me, that's a philosophy entirely worth exploring! Earlier in the week I printed off a Ba-Guap map, and began to excitedly plan exactly how I can implement its suggestions into my new place... HOORAY!
x Kismet - Ah, kismet. You funny little beast. Apart from being a word that's a whole bunch of fun to repeat, or possibly a name of one of Kermit The Frog's relatives, it refers to the act of fate or destiny, and lately, I've found a lot of comfort and truth in its sentiment. Sometimes, when seemingly dreadful incidents occur (an unsuccessful application for a job that you REALLY wanted, a relationship break-up or an argument), it can feel like things aren't working out properly, or that life is playing a cruel prank on us... until a month or a year later, when we sit back and think ''a-HA! So that's why that happened, I GET it now!'', and realise that ultimately, things were working out exactly as they were supposed to.
x Developing Health Resolutions - My attitude to my health varies from almost saint-like to wildly innappropriate, and after falling ill this week, I realised once again just how crucial it is to nurture your body with adequate nutrition... there's only so much nonsense that it will put up with! So, as a result, I've developed a series of health resolutions, and while they only involve small steps, such as increasing my water intake, cooking more and upping my iron levels, they're positive changes!
x Other Little Things - Carob coated licorice sticks; daydreaming about interior design; wholewheat spaghetti; large stacks of magazines; saving my pennies; fresh flowers; Pitbull; camp-outs; reminiscing about the Popcorn song; rediscovering old books; and contemplating new hair!

How was your week?

Oh this week just flew by and I feel like I've gotten nothing done since getting back from our trip.
Today I wanted to buy some art to hang on my wall - two of them had a little Feng Shui sticker at the side stating what the art would "bring" and where it should be placed...so intrigued, I think I'll have to go back for them.
And yay for contemplating new hair - that's always fun :)

I've always been interested in feng shui but not known enough about it... I'm going to read up now. My house needs some redecorating :)

the highlight of my week was definately yesterday when my friend called me and said she had won two Big Day Out tickets in the ballot and i would i like the second one!! =D I have been so excited about going from when i saw the line. I got up super early the day they went on sale to buy then on the net only to discover they had sold out online 20 mins after they were relieased! So i then rushed off to the only shop in the gold coast that was selling them and the line was so long i would have easuly been waiting there for 3-4 hours, on a normal day i would have waited but since my ex was in hospital, i decided my time would be better spent there. So i had to sadly rule out going, until yeaterday!! =D
So apart from that ive been spending a lot of time with my ex who is getting healthier everyday =) x

my week was fine until yesterday, when my electricity got cut off!!! not because of lack of payment but because something exploded and the company hasn't been over to fix it and it's not only my house but my whole neighborhood T_T.
also on wednesday our representatives at congress tried to pass a 3% tax on the internet and telecom services, so we've been protesting quite a lot about tht here in Mexico! it all gets decided tomorrow but in the meantime we all are usng the hastag #internetnecesario to protest via Twitter and facebook. That tax is just crap.
now he good things, yesterday I went to an awesome party for my friend's birthday and I met the cutest guys (sadly they were gay but very fun to be with) i danced all night, it was sooo much fun!!!
i hope everything gets better soon with your house abd the real estate mayhem sweetheart.
