Merry Christmas, frocklings!
How was your special day? I hope that it was filled with wonder, magic and all of the very best festivities possible! And also, that you were so deliciously immersed in acts such as unwrapping presents and munching on candy canes that you completely didn't notice that 'It's Friday!' didn't actually happen on a Friday and is uh, instead happening today... WHOOPS. My apologies! On Wednesday, I FINALLY moved into my new apartment (and yes, if you're thinking that this time of the year is a ridiculously inappropriate time to be moving, you're 100% correct!), and as such, have spent the past few days unpacking and setting up everything like crazy! Anyyyway. Onwards we roll. Here's some of the bits and pieces that I'm loving this week, and I would LOVE to hear yours! :
x Spending Quality Time With The Family - Sure, we often intend to see our extended family more often throughout the year, and make plenty of promises to do so, but sometimes? Things don't always pan out quite like we've planned. Thank goodness for Christmas, then, which always acts as a superb excuse for everyone to pile together and spend some quality time with one another! On this year's big day, I spent the morning munching a delectable brunch with my parents, before spending the afternoon/evening with my boyfriend's family, and I couldn't help but notice just how lovely it was to do so...
x Our New Home - Okay, so it needs a HECK of a lot of cleaning and a renovation or seven, but I still can't help but walk around the rooms smiling and knowing that it's ours, and that if for some strange reason we feel like throwing an entire bucket of paint at one of the walls or removing a door, we CAN!
x Interior Design & Shopping For Homewares - I know. I've mentioned it before, but I'm STILL all over both of them! It's kind of amazing how these days, even looking at the simplest of pieces (cereal bowls, anyone?!) can be so, SO much fun!
x Wearing A Sequinned Bow-Tie With (Almost!) Everything - It's black, it's sparkly, and it cost $4 from the toy section of a fabric shop. L-o-v-e! t's the perfect combination of mental and excellent and adds just the right amount of silliness to any outfit, as well as simultaneously appeasing my inner magpie... whee!
x Other Little Things - Handwritten letters; vegetarian schitznels; the scent of Giorgio Armani's Armani Code and french vanilla wafting around the bedroom; rearranging furniture; juicy green grapes; waking up every morning next to Tom and stupidly exclaiming ''the ocean, the ocean! It's still THERE!'' when we walk out into the kitchen; unexpected gifts; having my best friend visiting (ooh, and she's seeing my new place for the first time tomorrow, ah!); post-Christmas sales; and anticipating the beauty of a new year (hello, 2010! I can tell already that we're going to be great friends...)!
♥
Tell me! How are you spending YOUR holidays? What did you nibble on Christmas day? What were some of the best gifts that you received? And equally as important, what are you relishing in general this week? (Spill the beans, I want to know all!)
xoxo

I've been under the weather since last Wednesday, and on Christmas night I took a turn for the worse ~ so all I am hoping for at the moment is a full recovery in time to enjoy New Years Eve!

On Christmas Day, it was catching up with my relatives and my Uncle dancing along to Peter Andre.
Our whole family consumed crackling BBQ pork and a whole lot of Coke.
I relished the Boxing Day sales as well, picking up a Camilla & Marc dress for Portmans for $39.95! Bargain!
