BLOG
If it was smile-inducing, filled me with a whole bunch of bursting-with-happiness delight or caused my heart to (no matter how temporaily!) race this week, it's on this list! :
x Feeling Festive - Carols! Candy canes! Reindeer earrings with flashing lights! Sparkly cards, social gatherings aplenty, and the sweet, sweet scent of pine needles... with only seven days until Christmas, it's almost impossible not to feel truly festive when you begin to fully immerse yourself in all of the delights that December has to offer! (Seriously: even if you're feeling as merry as anthrax this season, drape yourself in red and green, thread some tinsel through your hair, or watch a silly Tim Allen Santa-themed movie - you'll be feeling jolly in no time!)
x New Beginnings - So, next week is THE big week! I'll be shuffling my way out of my parents' digs, and into my very first apartment! (Click here to view the pictures that I shared in October!) I am nervous as anything (the fact that the word ''mortgage'' is now going to be a full-time fixture in my vocabulary/list of responsibilities is a slightly blood-curdling reality), but also, completely excited and open to the glittering array of possibilities and experiences that it will bring. It seems like such a strange, foreign and totally surreal chapter in my life: I've wanted a place of my own FOREVER, so I still can't digest the fact that it's all actually happening - but it's also wonderfully symbolic that things are coming together exactly as they should be, and that you really can have everything that you dream of! (Because believe me, if someone had told my full-time student self six months ago that this would be a real occurrence, I would have probably shrieked with laughter and disbelief!)
x My Crazy, Beautiful, Wonderful Friends - Whether it's the fact that they call for no reason, send the cutest of text messages and e-mails, or simply lecture me about going to bed on time, they make the world a much, MUCH more magnificent place and I love each and every one of them because of it!

x Other Little Things - Buying presents for people that you know they will LOVE; freshly sliced pineapple and beetroot; using pepper on almost everything; falling asleep to the sound of rain (especially when it's summer, and therefore completely unexpected!); Coconut Ice flavoured ice cream topping; realising that some of my older posts have been published on other blogs (!); waiting for fun gifts to arrive in the mail (a beautiful ring, a DVD and THESE magnificent sneakers!); reliving the joy of The Ewoks; Death Cab For Cutie's Meet Me On The Equinox (and actually, the New Moon soundtrack in general - it is excellent!); www.net-a-porter.com (but oh my, it is DANGEROUS!); skulls, skulls and more skulls (on my jewellery, in my outfits and incorporated into interior design: I am obsessed! Once a skull-obsessed teenage metalhead, always a skull-obsessed teenage metalhead?!); Black Sabbath; Mudvayne; and secret stashes of chocolate!

Phew! What are you feeling grateful, proud of or euphoric about this week?

Hooray on moving! It seems like a huge deal now, but I promise that in retrospect it'll be small potatoes.
