in I Want... Thank Frock It's Friday!

Cue EXCITEMENT! Cue weekend ANTICIPATION! Cue a list of reasons as to WHY you're so particularly in love with this Friday (hmmm, could it be because a certain character by the name of Saturday is nudging its way onto the horizon?!), and all of the resplendent moments that have transpired over the past seven days!

Feeling shy? I'll begin!

x Creating Balance - Do you ever feel as though there's literally not enough time in the day? That you keep finding yourself (lately) excusing yourself from social situations because, as much as you'd love to attend everything and see everyone, that you simply just don't seem to have time? That everything just seems to be whirling by in one big, enormous and dramatic blur?! Me too! And, to be honest, while I love being busy (I'm a Virgo, what can I say?!), I also love being able to see the people that I care about and spend quality time with them and the things that I'm passionate about, too. So, enter change! I'm currently overhauling my life in a big way, because the other day, I had a huge epiphany. There are so many little exciting bits and pieces that I want to work on and complete, but I never, ever have the time to do them - and honestly, what's the point of that?! It's crazy! How can you expect projects to truly flourish if you don't dedicate solid portions of time to working on them? In a nutshell: you can't. Or at least, I certainly can't! Which is precisely why I'm getting acquainted with the act of balance and I have to say, it feels really, REALLY good.

x New Zealand In April - Hooray! And continuing with the ''just do it!'' theme (why, thank-you, Nike!), on Wednesday night I booked tickets to visit my mother and sister in New Zealand, and I can't WAIT to see them! It's a super quick, five-night trip, but I'm looking forward to it, nonetheless.

x Manicures - Are they frivolous? Yes! Superficial? Perhaps! Completely worth it anyway because they make you feel fabulous? You bet!

x Other Little Things - Arriving home to notes which inform you that there's dessert in the fridge (!); planning Surry Hills shopping adventures with the lovely Alex; making mushroom pizza; dreaming of sneaking off to Melbourne; reminiscing to music at 11.35pm (The 4 Non Blondes' What's Up, I remember you!); Linda Perry; falling asleep beside my boyfriend and puppy and smiling; cocoa butter hand cream; finally receiving my e-tickets/confirmation from Emirates about my flights to Europe in October (oh, the relief! Panic attack officially over!); text messages from my sister which simply read ''SO EXCITED!''; airport anticipation (they're one of my favourite places to be); finding a booklet full of excellent coupons for a selection of delicious eateries in my letterbox; crystal blue water; long skirts; banana bread; smoothies for breakfast (luscious, nutritious AND quick - if there's a reason not to fall in love with them and elope in Vegas this weekend, I'm yet to know about it!); slipping in my headphones and drifting away; sparkles everywhere; meeting new, fantastic, interesting and helpful people all of the time; and fruit punch!

Share away! If a movie was to be made of the most glorious aspects of YOUR week, what kind of tales would it feature?

Happy weekend!

xoxo

I know exactly what you mean about trying to create balance! I have been trying this for a number of weeks and it is really quite challenging. If you have any fab tips, I'd love to hear them. :)

Hope you're enjoying NZ! x
